Zdeno Chara selected Bruins Teammates Tim Thomas and Tyler Seguin to be part of his squad for Sunday’s NHL All Star game. Thomas has been under fire recently for his Revolutionary stand against the US government while Tyler Seguin continues to light up the league scoring a team-high 19 goals thus far. Boston will be well represented during the All-Star game by these 3 fine players, while the rest of the squad gets some much needed rest (the team gets 5 whole days off for this break). The NHL All-Star festivities should fill up the Sunday prior to Super Bowl week quite nicely for Boston fans.

The Celtics came back from a 27 point deficit to defeat the Magic on Thursday night despite the absence of Ray Allen and Rajon Rondo, proving that they have some potential. Pierce scored 19 of his 24 pts in the second half, leading Boston over Orlando for the second time in less than a week. When Paul Pierce starts taking over games I get a warm fuzzy green feeling in my belly. I know this year started off pretty slow but I have faith in the Celtics for the long haul that is the NBA playoffs. You know they’re going to rally and at least get into the postseason as like a 6 seed (at least) and then the veterans will start to work their magic (pun intended) against younger teams. They might not win a Championship, but this Celtics team will be a part of the NBA playoffs and we should give them a little bit more respect because they could actually prove the critics wrong. You never know…

Amazing Song courtesy of Toucher and Rich on 98.5 The Sports Hub. So glad they put this to video and shared it with Patriots Nation.

Gronk IS party and if everything goes according to plan the Patriots will be partying it up after a Super Bowl victory next Sunday.

DAYUM. Not bad, Wes. Welker is now engaged to Anna Burns, a former “Miss Hooters” winner according to Bigleadsports. Hopefully Wes can grab a Lombardi Trophy in a couple weeks to go along with his new Trophy wife. You can read more Here.

The Patriots are taking over Indianapolis. Looks like a good omen to me. I just have a feeling the Pats are going to win this game. Super Bowl Sunday can’t come soon enough.

The Red Sox reportedly made an offer to the baseball’s best free agent pitcher Roy Oswalt on Wednesday but have yet to sign the veteran righty. The Sox are going to have to come up with some serious dough if they are to wrangle Oswalt for a 1-year deal (which is rumored to be their desire). An arm like Oswalt would complete Boston’s rotation and make the Red Sox a legit contender, so let’s hope Cherington and the boys can figure out a way to get this done.

“MERIDEN, Conn.—Police are investigating after a 4-year-old boy brought marijuana to his Meriden school.

A teacher told police that the pre-kindergarten student at Hanover School pulled several baggies of marijuana from his pocket at snack time Tuesday.

School Superintendent Mark D. Benigni said the child didn’t know what he was doing because he grabbed what he believed was a snack from his coat pocket.” full story here -> Boston.com

At that age I still believed in Santa Claus and this youngin’ is already hustlin’ in the dope game. He had multiple bags on him too so you know he was slinging that shit all over the playground. The kid tries to play it off like he “thought it was a snack” ? Yea, right…just like I “thought Bobby Runnals was falling so I went to catch him” that time I punched him the stomach on the schoolyard in 2nd grade. Don’t be fooled, teachers – kids are smarter than you think. This drug kingpin will be back in business by tomorrow’s recess.

Fat jokes aside, the Prince Fielder contract is absurd. $214 mil? He’s a great hitter, sure…but that’s a LOT of bills. Sometime during the next 9 years this one is going to come back and bite Detroit in the ass. I can almost guarantee it. Only Scott Boras could pull that off. The Tigers will regret this.

I think everyone reacted roughly this way to the Patriots AFC Championship win on Sunday, but for some reason this guy’s reaction is particularly amusing.

II especially love how this man’s son posted the video with the title “Asian Dad Goes Wild Over Patriots Game!” So that everyone on the internet could enjoy it without feeling too racist.  Thanks for stealing the racism’s thunder, Asian son.
